The inspiration behind this video:
While it was a group effort, essentially, Rocket saved his fellow Guardians of the Galaxy from being perpetually snuffed out of existence. Now, in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, it's Rocket that needs saving. As revealed in the official synopsis for the James Gunn film, the cybernetically modified raccoon's life will be in danger as the threequel delves deep into his tragic past. Star-Lord and the rest of the team need to band together to rescue one of the reasons that most of them were able to return in Avengers: Endgame.
Rocket's tragic MCU backstory will be explored in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 — something that has become a gestating mystery in the sub-franchise. While the High Evolutionary is said to have personal ties to all members of the cosmic team, his expected connection to Rocket's sad history makes him a central character in the post-Avengers: Endgame story. Based on what's seen in promotional videos, it seems like he is well aware of the villain's motivations and plans, making him essential in their plan to take them down. The director has promised a highly emotional movie, and Rocket's personal arc will be the center of it.
