Check this out in Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse. So, there's this theory floating around that the original Spidey might still be alive. Here's the scoop: at the start, Miles meets Spidey, right? Then, Kingpin lands a heavy hit and tells Prowler to "take care of the body". After that, we never really see the OG Spidey again. But here's the twist, in the final showdown with Kingpin, he hits Miles the exact same way he did the original Spidey. Miles takes a serious hit, but he doesn't go down for the count. He gets back up and gives Kingpin a taste of his own medicine. So, if Miles can handle it, maybe the original Spidey could've too. Perhaps he managed to slip away, too injured to join the fight. Also, isn't it a bit odd that apart from the public address, MJ and Aunt May don't seem all that broken up about Spidey? Food for thought, right?
