http://www.redlettermedia.com – Mike and Jay discuss a recent sci-fi flop and a sci-fi hit. First up is Ender’s Game, based on the novel by Orson Scott Card and then the Marvel sequel Thor: The Dark World, in which Mike and Jay constantly refer to magical elves as aliens because who cares?

Jamie Evans says:

Natalie Portman does have a degree in psychology from Harvard University.

Lazy Lib says:

They should have made the Ender's Game movie back in the 80s. Maybe movies that go through development hell just aren't meant to be made

Maciej Bogdan Stepien says:

4:16 exactly! and sooo unfortunate. You really need to read the book. The movie doesn't give justice to this epic vision.

TheXLoads says:

What is that record plinket is holding? Is that William Shatner?

A L says:

Half In The Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaag

amit212543 says:

The book is great. I gave up on the movie pretty quickly.

Random Name is says:

Good review

Elijah El says:

The book is really good. The movie sucked.

Michael Burke says:

0:28 look at that editing! You guys are hacks!

Zebedee Clarke says:

;|the book isn't bad . . . read the book. . . lol

Heitor Mello says:

Thor 2 might just be THE blandest movie I've ever seen, and arguably one of the most boring

JamesDarcon2007 says:

How hard to understand that Malekith needed the Aether to return the universe to the Darkness that they (the Dark Elves) were born into?

hypercube33 says:

Who puts the TP on backwards like that omg

Pocket Hand Cannon says:

It is a great book, and it does explain syuff better, but the tone being a mix of really dark and downright kiddie is accurate. The sequels were great though. Ender is an adult, dealing with the guilt of his externination of another species, he finds out another alien race thats made contact with humans and on the verge of extinction and goes to broker peace. Kind of boring for some but its hard sci-fi genre and got some good philosophical questions.

AliceDiableaux says:

The Thorazine joke was hilarious, I don't care what you say.

Jeff O says:

Harrison Ford OWNED the 80s. That was a long time ago.

Further Back says:

Mike: '"ave the third Thor movie not have much to do with Earth. Maybe it's just gonna be a Thor adventure in space with his people and his enemies out there. It'll be great." I'm beginning to think Hollywood is listening in on this channel.
